If you take a look around our Fellowship Hall, you'll notice that our kitchen is bustling with activity. Nothing goes better with worship, the Word of God and relationship building, than food. Food is an important part of our ministry and life here at Kalaheo.
Common Grounds Cafe is a coffee and breakfast ministry like no other here at KalaheoMC. It’s our very own Sunday morning Starbucks. We have a volunteer staff consisting of friendly and high-energy people ministering in the area of food preparation, and service.
Our coffee and breakfast service will not only get your engines reving on Sunday morning but throughout the week as well. Common Grounds Café takes their café on the road to provide morning refreshments to faculty and staff at five public schools on the Westside of Kauai. To many faculty members…this is the highlight of the week.

Internationally, Common Grounds has helped support the Phang Nga Church in Thailand by purchasing a latte machine and blender for their coffee shop in Baan Klii. Additionally, Common Grounds has reached out in support to provide high protein food to AIDS families through Shoulder to Shoulder ministries iin Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. A portion of monies raised through Sunday morning cafe services will go to support this project.
